It's a Zoo Out There

Spring Break has finally come! After waiting for what seemed like forever, it came! On Monday, Mom decided to take us to the Pueblo Zoo. I was allowed to take my two friends Alihah and Amaihah, and then my Aunt Karen with her two boys, and Aunt Denise with her five kids, and Aunt Mary with her four kids all came with us. It was quite the crew! Even though it was chilly, it was a lot of fun.

I don't know how, but for some reason the order of the pictures are backwards of what actually happened at the Zoo.
Oh well...

Revenge is sweet!

Amaihah fell asleep in the car.

This tree is the awesomest tree ever! It was a vibrant yellow, my fav color!

The snake in this exhibit, was having its meal when we got there. So everyone tried to huddle around the small glass wall to watch the snake slowly eat 2 of the mice. It was pretty gruesome.

In a building, there was a ship with different creatures inside little compartments, like tarantulas, bugs and the such. There was also a skeleton.

Here is just a tiny portion of the kids who were there.

At the beginning of the Zoo, we were handed crackers that were meant for ONLY animals. Cedric got so desperate, he cried and cried for one, so he got it! Everybody was pretty hungry towards the end of the trip.

An ostrich came right up to the fence, and started to peck at it. Alihah was freaking out, but just a little bit.

This snake was pretty cool, because it was totally made out of pennies!! ( Except the head. )

Look Familiar?

Cedric has been enjoying the new thought of feeding himself. Its a cool new experience, for him and for the rest of us who get to watch him create a huge mess in no time at all.

Personal Progress

Since I started Young Womens, I was kind of dreading Personal Progress ( Duty to God, but for girls..). But, me and my friend Hannah Boots, started to do a contest on it, on who would finish first! Obviously she won, but we both got it in the end. Whenever a girl finishes up all of the requirements, they get their photo taken. Here were a few of mine!

Silly Spencer

I caught Spencer trying to stuff this up a overly stretched out sweatshirt.

Cedrica

Since we are just hanging out at the house today, it got a little boring. So I decided to turn Cedric into a Cedrica! Everyone got a kick out of it. I finally got a sister! Just kidding....

Hola Amigos!

Hey! It has been quite a while since I have posted anything. Life with the Smiths is going good! Everyone (except me) drove to Denver. Dad had a Dental Clinic, and so the rest of the family went there, also. They all hung out at the Aquarium for dinner, went and toured the Natural Museum of Science and History, swam at the hotel, and since Jay keeps reminding me, he "worked out" at the gym at the hotel. While they were having fun at Denver, I was at a friend's house having a Girls Movie Night. It was a lot of fun as well. Tomorrow is no school, so we were all planning to go do stuff with friends and family. But, this afternoon ended it all. Kyle decided to throw-up at church, and Cedric as well when Dad drove them back home. (Cedric hasn't been feeling very happy since he has been cutting in new teeth.) Other than that, all is well.

Time to go make some Giant Snickerdoodles!

Busy Baby

Cedric, at a mere 14 months, has already graduated to one of my typically busy and mischievous toddlers. Beyond the expected climbing on the table, and out of his high chair, dumping out the pantry items and digging for snacks in the garbage at a constant rate, he has gone to whole new level. Cedric just LOVES, to methodically put all of my dirty laundry, from the hamper, into the bathtub and then turn the water on all over them! How such a little guy can think up such stuff is beyond me. He also turns on the space heater by himself and weighs himself on the scale every morning before we get into the shower together (now that, he learned from me)! Busy, busy, baby!
